Arunachal celebrates International Women’s Day with a call for accelerated action

Itanagar, Mar 8 (UNI) The International Women’s Day 2025 was celebrated across Arunachal Pradesh in a befitting manner, with a focus on advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment.
This year’s theme, "For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment: Accelerate Action," underscored the urgency to dismantle systemic barriers and biases hindering women’s progress in various spheres.
The Women and Child Development (WCD) Department, in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh State Commission for Women (APSCW), Arunachal Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (APSLSA), Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS), Department of Textiles & Handicrafts, The Arunachal Birds and Bees Talk, and Itanagar Cycling Club, organized a grand celebration at DK Convention Hall here to mark the Day.
