Arunachal Pradesh Police urges public support in combating drug menace

Itanagar, Apr 12 (UNI) In a renewed call for action against the rising threat of drug abuse, the Arunachal Pradesh Police (APP) has emphasized the need for a strong Police-Community partnership to effectively combat the growing drug menace in the state.
Stressing that public information and tips are crucial to generating actionable intelligence, the police urged citizens to come forward in the fight against drug abuse.
People can report drug-related activities or seek help by calling the 24x7 MANAS Helpline at 1933 or by visiting the NCB MANAS portal ncbmanas.gov.in.

Langstang appointed MPSC chairman

Shillong, April 21 (UNI) The Meghalaya government has appointed outgoing chief engineer of State Public Works Department (Roads), Dawhoi Langstang, as the new chairman of Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC).
Bedarius Shylla, who was serving as in-charge chairman of the MPSC, has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect.
