Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has paid an emotional tribute to the Indian Armed forces for Operation Sindoor.
Bachchan, who is known for his thought-provoking posts on his X (former Twitter) handle and personal blog, had recently shared a series of cryptic, posts that sparked considerable intrigue among his followers.
Breaking his silence on the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor, he finally posted a deeply emotional message.
Amitabh spoke about the innocent lives lost in Pahalgam in the April 22 terrorist attack.
"The innocent couple on a vacation holiday in Pahalgam, was attacked by terrorists, posing as tourist guides .. they pulled them out in the open, asked the husband to pull his pants down, and when he saw that he was not circumcised, a traditional religious procedure in Muslim men, he told him recite the Kalma .. when the man a Hindu did not know, he set up to shoot him .. his wife fell at his feet and said do not kill him .. but he mercilessly shot him, and made the wife a widow in front of her eyes .. the wife then begged this monster, this demon, to kill her also .. this devil of a man said: ‘I won’t kill you .. you go and tell ..!!"
Referring to a poem by his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Amitabh wrote, "On the mental state of the daughter, I remembered a line from a poem by revered Babuji: As if, that daughter went to …." and said: "There are ashes of the funeral pyre, the world is asking for vermilion"… (Babuji's line)…'And then gave the vermilion!!! Operation Sindoor.
He concluded the post with a rousing tribute to the Indian Army, "Jai Hind, Hail the Indian Army, You shall never hesitate; You shall never retreat; You shall never surrender, Take this oath, Take this oath, Take this oath! Agnipath! Agnipath! Agnipath!!!"
