FIR filed against 'Jaat' movie's cast and crew by Christian community

Chandigarh, April 18 (UNI) An FIR has been filed at Jalandhar by members of the Christian community against the cast and crew of the film 'Jaat', alleging that some scenes were deeply offensive.

The FIR, under section 299 of Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita, was registered on a complaint by Vislan Masih.

The complainant has raised objections to a couple of scenes which include Randeep Hooda's character standing inside a church, beneath a crucifix placed above the pulpit. Another scene where references to violence within the Church are depicted.

The FIR mentions names of actors Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Vineet, Director Gopi Chand Malineni and producer Navin Malineni.
