Salman Khan opens up on age gap issues with actresses

Mumbai, Mar 28 (UNI) Salman Khan is all set for the release of his highly-awaited actioner ‘Sikandar.’
While fans are counting the days to the film’s release, the actor’s pairing with his 31-years junior, Rashmika Mandanna has once again sparked the age gap issue. Salman has often received criticism for the age gap between him and his actresses in films. During a press meet event on Thursday, the star addressed the issue.
During the media interaction, Salman weighed in on working with junior actresses. He said, “If I want to work with Ananya or Janhvi, people have made it difficult for me because then they talk about the age gap. I work with younger actors, thinking it will give them a good opportunity, and I intend to continue working with younger actresses.”
The star statement comes amid the ongoing debate about the 31 years of age gap between him and his ‘Sikandar’ co-star, Rashmika Mandanna. At the film’s trailer launch, the actor slammed the backlash, iterating that neither of them had issues with it.
He said, “People say there is a 31-year age gap between me and the heroine. When the heroine and her father don’t have a problem, then why do you have a problem?” Moreover, the star declared that even in the future, when Rashmika gets married and has a daughter, he will continue to work with her.
Salman’s awaited mega-actioner is going to hit the theatres on March 30. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sajid Nadiadwala has backed the film.
The film reunites the actor with the producer after their blockbuster, ‘Kick.’
‘Sikandar’ promises to be a high-stakes ride brimming with pulse-pounding action sequences and featuring the star’s signature style. Apart from Salman and Rashmika, the film also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Smita Patil, and Sathyaraj in key roles. UNI XC SSP
