Allu Arjun vows to take Indian cinema global

Mumbai, May 1 (UNI) Pan-India star Allu Arjun said on Thursday it was time for Indian cinema to make a serious impact on the global box office and asserted that he firmly believed in pushing boundaries to elevate the industry to an international level.
Speaking at inaugural WAVES 2025 summit here, the National Award-winning actor was responding to a question on whether he always stays ahead of his time.
"There’s always a glass ceiling and breaking through it every single time is incredibly fulfilling, not just for the world to see, but for one’s own growth. I truly believe in pushing limits."
Allu Arjun stressed the need to elevate Indian cinema globally. "With all due respect to other film industries, be it Hollywood, Korean, Iranian, or Chinese, they’ve all made a strong impact globally. We have a massive industry that’s been around for decades, but we haven’t yet had a serious global breakthrough.”
He expressed optimism about India’s growing stature and said the time had come for the Indian film and entertainment industry to leave its mark on the world stage.
"India is evolving and rising as a nation. In the coming years, I believe Indian cinema, entertainment, companies, and talent across sectors will have a solid global impact. I firmly believe in that," he added.
On being asked how life has changed after the success of 'Pushpa 2', the actor replied that he was still learning how to process the overwhelming love he had received from audiences across the country.
"I’m a natural actor, and I know I still have a long way to go," he remarked with humility.
The gathering erupted with cheers as Allu Arjun delighted fans by performing his iconic 'Pushpa' signature move on stage.
