Sindoor: Cong writes to PM Modi for special session of Parliament to discuss latest development

New Delhi, May 11 (UNI) Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Sunday requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to immediately convene a special session of Parliament to discuss "Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor and India-Pakistan ceasefire announcements".

In a letter to the Prime Minister, Kharge said, "In view of the latest developments, it is the unanimous request of all Opposition parties for a special session of Parliament to discuss the Pahalgam terror, Operation Sindoor and ceasefire announcements first from Washington DC and later by the Governments of India and Pakistan".

Kharge also reminded about letters dated April 28, in which he and Rahul Gandhi had requested a special session of both Houses of Parliament following the dastardly terror attack in Pahalgam.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi in his letter to Modi too reiterated the request for a special session of Parliament to the discuss the latest developments.

"It is crucial for the people and their representatives to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor and today's ceasefire, first announced by US President Donal Trump. This will also be an opportunity to demonstrate our collective resolve to meet the challenges ahead" read Gandhi's missive

He hoped that the Prime Minister will consider the demand seriously and swiftly. UNI RBE ARN
