Pahalgam attack: Japan extends full support to India

New Delhi, May 5 (UNI) Japan on Monday expressed solidarity with India in the wake of the dastardly terror attack in Pahalgam and offered its full support.
On his social media handle X, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said he held a bilateral meeting with the Defence Minister of Japan Gen Nakatani San and both discussed defence cooperation and regional security.
“Both sides also condemned terrorism in all forms and emphasised the need for enhanced collaboration and joint efforts to counter cross-border threats,” Singh said.
“Nakatani San expressed solidarity with India in the wake of Pahalgam attack and offered full support to India,” he added.
Earlier, Rajnath Singh received Gen Nakatani, at the Manekshaw Centre here. The Defence Minister of Japan is on a two-day visit to India.
He also inspected a Tri-Services Guard of Honour, reflecting the mutual respect and cooperation between the two countries.
