New Delhi, Mar 28 (UNI) Delhi Police, after registration of an FIR (first information report) against former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and others for allegedly misusing public funds and contravening the provision of Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, filed the compliance report before the local court.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Neha Mittal in its order on March 11 had directed police to lodge FIR on the application that alleged violation of Prevention of Defacement of Property Act and file the compliance report before the court.
In this application, the court had also directed to register FIR against former Matiala MLA Gulab Singh and then Dwarka ward councillor Nitika Sharma, for installing large-sized banners.
The applicant, Shiv Kumar Saxena, filed an application in the year 2019, alleging that Kejriwal, Gulab Singh (AAP) and councillor Ms Sharma has deliberately misused public money by putting up large sized hoardings at Sector 11, DDA park, Dwarka, and Sector 10, Dwarka main crossing and power poles, DDA Park and other public places.
The court, after hearing, has adjourned the matter for April 18 for further hearing.
