Port Louis/New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at the Ganga Talao in Mauritius today, and also poured holy water brought from the Triveni Sangam at the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj.
Amid the chanting of hymns by Hindu priests, the blowing of conch shells and ringing of prayer bells, the PM was seen pouring oblations into the Ganga Talao lake. He also performed an aarti with lighted lamp, along with some other priests.
Many Mauritians had gathered to catch a glimpse of the Indian Prime Minister at Ganga Talao. Amid a steady drizzle, the Mauritians shouted "Modi, Modi" slogans, with many of them waving saffron flags.
