US VP JD Vance calls on PM Modi, says US ready to provide all assistance in joint fight against terror

New Delhi, Apr 23 (UNI) US Vice President JD Vance today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and strongly condemned the dastardly terror attack in Pahalgam and said the US is ready to provide all assistance in the joint fight against terrorism.

The MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal in a post on X said that PM Modi thanked Vice President Vance and President Donald Trump for their messages of support and solidarity.

US President Donald Trump had called up PM Modi on Tuesday night to condemn the Pahalgam terror attack, in which 28 tourists were killed, and to offer all support.

“Vice President @VP @JDVance called Prime Minister @narendramodi and strongly condemned the dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

“He conveyed his deepest condolences on the loss of lives and reiterated that the United States stands with the people of India in this difficult hour.

“He expressed that the United States is ready to provide all assistance in the joint fight against terrorism.

“PM thanked Vice President Vance and President Trump for their messages of support and solidarity.”

The US VP, who is visiting India with his wife Second Lady Usha Vance and their three children, had met the PM on April 21 and held bilateral talks.
