PMs of Australia, Nepal, Mauritius call up PM Modi to condemn Pahalgam terror attack

New Delhi, Apr 23 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday received calls from his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese, from Nepal’s KP Sharma Oli and Mauritius PM Navin Chandra Ramgoolam, strongly condemning the Pahalgam terror attack and offering support to India in this difficult time.

The MEA spokesperson said:

“Prime Minister of Australia @AlboMP called Prime Minister @narendramodi and strongly condemned the dastardly terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

“He offered condolences on the loss of innocent lives and expressed solidarity with the people of India in this hour of grief. He extended all support in the fight against terrorism.”

The Australian PM said in a post on X, that he had spoken to PM Modi and that those responsible for the killing of 28 people in Pahalgam in Kashmir must be held to account.

“This afternoon I have spoken to my friend Prime Minister @narendramodi to offer my condolences on behalf of Australia following the terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

“The horrific loss of life of innocent civilians is an act of senseless violence which has shocked the world.

“Those responsible must be held to account. Australia and India are great friends and we stand with India at this difficult time.“

The MEA spokesperson said in a post on the Nepal PM’s call, that PM Modi also conveyed his condolences on the death of a Nepalese citizen in the Pahalgam terror attack.

“Prime Minister of Nepal @PM_nepal_ Mr. KP Sharma Oli called Prime Minister @narendramodi to strongly condemn the heinous terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, and offered his sincere condolences on the loss of precious lives.

“PM @narendramodi also conveyed his condolences on the death of a young Nepali national in the terror attack, and underlined that India remains committed to bringing the perpetrators of the brutal terror attack to justice. India and Nepal stand together in the fight against terrorism.”

The Nepal PM said in a post on X:

“Spoke with Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji and conveyed my deepest condolences on the loss of lives in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

“Reiterated Nepal’s firm solidarity with India against such heinous acts. Grateful for his heartfelt condolences on the loss of Nepali citizen.”

The PM of Mauritius Navin Chandra Ramgoolam also spoke with PM Modi, and expressed support and solidarity with the people of India in this hour of grief.

“Prime Minister of Mauritius @Ramgoolam_Dr called Prime Minister @narendramodi and offered his deepest condolences on the senseless killing of innocent people in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

“He strongly condemned the cowardly terror attack.

“He expressed support and solidarity with the people of India in this hour of grief and stated that the two countries remain united in the fight against terror.”

On Tuesday night, US President Donald Trump had called up PM Modi to condemn the terror attack and express support.
