New Delhi, Apr 15 (UNI) Senior RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav met Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi here on Tuesday and discussed on strengthening their alliance and contesting the upcoming Assembly polls in Bihar unitedly with a goal of defeating the NDA.
Talking to media, Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru said that Today's meeting was the beginning and on April 17 another meeting will take place in Patna where both the parties will move forward forming a consensus and with a strong strategy.
During the meeting Kharge said, "This time change is certain in Bihar. Today, we met the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav and discussed the strengthening of Mahagathbandhan".
He said that in the upcoming election the leaders discussed to give the people of Bihar a strong, positive, just and welfare-oriented option.
The Congress President further said that the the alliance will work to free Bihar from BJP and its opportunistic alliance.
"Youth, farmers, labourers, women, backward, and people of all other sections of the society want the Mahagathbandhan government in Bihar," Kharge said.
Present in the meeting meeting were Congress leader KC Venugopal, Bihar Congress in-charge Krishna Allavaru, Bihar State Congress President Rajesh Kumar, RJD leader Manoj Jha among others.
