JK: Two soldiers killed, two injured as Army vehicle plunges into gorge in Kupwara

Srinagar, May 6 (UNI) Two soldiers were killed and two others sustained injuries when an Army vehicle plunged into a gorge near the Line of Control in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Tuesday, officials said.



The incident occurred in the Teetwal area in the afternoon when the vehicle reportedly lost control and rolled down a steep slope.



"Four soldiers were initially injured in the accident and were immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility. Unfortunately, two of them were declared dead on arrival ,” an official said.



The remaining two injured personnel were later shifted to the Army’s base hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.



Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading to the accident.
