Moradabad (UP), Apr 30 (UNI) Three members of a family, including a couple, died, and three others were seriously injured in a collision between a car and a tractor trolley in the Thakurdwara area of Moradabad district here in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said here.

Police sources said that the incident took place in the wee hours on Wednesday near Sarkada Param village under Rani Nangla police station, where the car collided with a tractor trolley loaded with wood without lights and indicators.

"Six persons, including Kaviraj (36), a resident of Fina Rampur village under Shivala Kalan police station in Bijnor; his wife, Manju (34); daughter, Aradhya (11); son, Laksh (12); Tasu (18); and Janu (35) were injured in the incident," they said.

Police sources said that Kaviraj, his wife Manju (34) and daughter Aradhya (11) died on the spot in the incident.

"Three persons, including the couple's son Laksh, Tashu and Janu (35), have been admitted to the hospital, where their condition is stated to be serious. "Upon receiving information about the accident, the members of the victim's family reached the spot," they said.

Police sources said that it is being said that the victims were returning from a function organised in Khaikheda village under Thakurdwara police station held late last night.
