Punjab Minister directs transferred Tehsildars to join duty immediately

Chandigarh, Apr 22 (UNI) Punjab Revenue Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian on Tuesday issued strict directive to Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars, who have been transferred, to join duty immediately and warned that "undue harassment of people in the Revenue Department offices will not be tolerated".
Affirming that the state's AAP government was committed to providing a better administration to the people, Mundian said it has come to his notice that many officers have not yet joined their new postings.
He said there would be no compromise on the issue of delivering services to the people and warned that he would carry out surprise checks on revenue offices from tomorrow and if anyone is found absent from duty then strict action will be taken against the concerned officer/employee. He said indiscipline will not be tolerated at any cost. UNI GS SSP
