Pahalgam Terror Attack: J&K Cong calls it gruesome; to protest on Wednesday, BJP says attack will be avenged

Jammu, Apr 22 (UNI) In the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, the Jammu and Kashmir Congress termed it as gruesome and will stage a protest on Wednesday, while the BJP said that the attack will be avenged.
The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee, in a statement on Tuesday, condemned the dastardly terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam and decided to hold a strong protest demonstration against terrorism outside the party office here.
The JKPCC leaders condemned the cowardly act and called for a strong protest demonstration tomorrow to express anger against rising terrorism and to express solidarity and sympathies with the families of victims.
All Congress leaders and workers of PCC, DCC Jammu Urban, Jammu Rural, Blocks, and frontal wings are asked to assemble at the party office.
Meanwhile, senior BJP leader Ravinder Raina, in a statement, said, “Enemies of Kashmir have once again bleeded Kashmir by targeting the innocent tourists at Pahalgam. Pakistani terrorists committed heinous crime and sin.”
He said, “Pakistani terrorists cannot face the brave soldiers of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and our paramilitary forces.”
Raina said these cowardly terrorists have targeted unarmed innocent tourists who had come to visit Kashmir.
“Some tourists have been admitted to the local hospital in an injured condition,” he said, adding that the entire area has been cordoned off by the Army and police. The terrorists who are guilty of this attack and those who are helping them will be punished.”
