Man kills wife in Jaunpur, surrenders before police

Jaunpur (UP), Mar 13 (UNI) A man suffocated his 35-year-old wife and later surrendered before the police in Line Bazar area of Jaunpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said here.
Police said that Alok Singh, a resident of Kunda in Pratapgarh district, lived with his wife Alka Singh (38) and seven-year-old son on rent in Rajkumar Bind's house in Mianpur locality.
"On Wednesday evening Alok went for Holi shopping with his family. On Thursday morning Alok killed his wife by suffocating her with a pillow and left after locking the room with his son," they said.
