UP: Woman murdered by elder brother in Banda

Banda (UP), Mar 14 (UNI) A 50-year-old woman was attacked and killed with a sharp-edged weapon by her elder brother over a land dispute in the Palani area of Banda district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a police officer said here.
Circle Officer (Sadar) Rajveer Singh said the incident took place in Simran Dera village when Sushila Nishad was alone at her house. "During this her elder brother Santosh Nishad, a resident of Bada Dera Darda village under Kotwali Dehat police station area, hit her with the sharp-edged weapon and injured her seriously," he said.
He said Sushila was taken to Jaspura Community Health Center for treatment where the doctors declared her dead. He said that the deceased's mother had written four and a half bighas of land in the name of Sushila due to which her elder brother Santosh Nishad had a grudge.
