High school, inter exams to begin from Feb 24, preparations complete

Lucknow, Feb 21 (UNI) The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Council's high school and intermediate board exams, considered to be one of the biggest examinations in Asia, will begin from February 24 at more than 8,000 centres in the state.
State Minister of Secondary Education (Independent Charge) Gulab Devi said on Friday that strict steps have been taken to ensure a copy-free exam this year as per the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's directives. She inaugurated the state level control room at the camp office on Park Road in Lucknow. This control room will monitor the high school and intermediate exams online.
She said that a total of 8,140 exam centres have been set up in the state this year, which include 576 government, 3,446 non-government aided and 4,118 self-financed schools. "Out of these, 306 exam centres have been declared as highly sensitive and 692 as sensitive. "Special Task Force (STF) and local intelligence unit have been activated to completely curb unfair means in the exam," she said.
