Sikh leaders of USA, BJP should raise turban issue with Trump, Modi: SAD

Chandigarh, Feb 19 (UNI) The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Wednesday asked Sikh leaders of the United
States as well as of BJP to take up the issue of tossing of turbans of Sikh youth into dustbins during 'deportations' from the US and said it was a "serious matter" needing to be addressed urgently.
Senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia said it was "shocking" that turbans of the Sikh youth were tossed and thrown into dustbins by US police officials while making them board US Airforce flights for India.
