Man arrested for murdering wife and son, court grants two days police remand

Kaithal, Apr 20 (UNI) A man accused of murdering his wife and son in village Barot in Haryana's Kaithal district has been arrested by police.
The accused, Ajay alias Ajju, was arrested by station Dhand SHO Sub Inspector Sanjay Kumar in collaboration with CIA-1.
The police spokesperson said that according to the complaint of Sagar, a resident of village Dhaunsh, his sister Sudesh was married to Ajay of Barot who used to beat her often and used to warn her against complaining to her family, otherwise their son Simrat will also be killed.
On April 16, he received information on the phone that Ajay was assaulting his sister. He reached the government hospital Kaithal with his family members and came to know that his brother-in -law Ajay had slammed his nephew Simrat on the ground and injured his sister Sudesh by hitting her with a brick, which resulted in her death.
A case was registered in the police station Dhand.
The spokesman said that during interrogation of the accused, it was revealed that he is a quarrelsome man and often assaulted his wife Sudesh.
He warned her against telling her family about it, and when she did complain, he decided to teach her a lesson and carried out the murders.
The accused was produced in the court on Sunday. The court granted two days' police remand of the accused.
