J&K: Three terrorists killed in Kishtwar encounter

Jammu, Apr 12 (UNI) Three terrorists have been eliminated in a fierce gunfight in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Army's Northern Command here on Saturday morning said, "In the ongoing operations at Chatroo in Kishtwar, despite bad and inclement weather, two more Pakistani terrorists have been eliminated."
A large quantity of warlike stores, including one AK and one M4 rifle, has been recovered, said the army.
The Army earlier had said that one terrorist was killed, after which the firing stopped.
"The operation was in progress, and in a fresh exchange of firing, two more terrorists were killed," they said.

ACB unearths major corruption in dredging project at Ramsar-designated wetland

Srinagar, Apr 19 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau has unearthed a major corruption in the dredging of the flood spill channel of the Hokersar wetland- a Ramsar-designated wetland of international importance on Srinagar outskirts.
The dredging project was initiated to enhance the flood-carrying capacity of the spill channel in the aftermath of the devastating 2014 floods, aiming to mitigate future flood risks in Srinagar. Known as the “Queen of Wetlands,” Hokersar plays a critical ecological role and is home to numerous migratory bird species.
