Pick-up vehicle runs over sweepers: Six killed, five injured in Haryana

Chandigarh, Apr 26 (UNI) At least six sweepers were killed and five others were injured when a pickup vehicle ran over them on the Delhi-Mumbai Motorway near Ebrahim Baas Village in Firozpur-Jhinka of Nuh district in Haryana, police sources said on Saturday.

Police said that the sweepers were engaged in road cleaning work at around 1000 hrs when the incident occurred.

Injured persons have been rushed to a nearby hospital. Details are awaited.
