Punjab CM Mann trying to suppress voice of country's annadata: Majithia

Chandigarh, Mar 19 (UNI) Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader and former Minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Wednesday accused Bhagwant Mann led Aam Admi Party (AAP) government of trying to suppress the voice of Punjab farmers by arresting their top leaders and alleged he has "backstabbed" the country's farmers.
In a statement released here, he said the farming sector is in distress in the state but CM Mann under the influence of his power is trying to crush the voice of the "annadata".
He cautioned that if anything happened to any farmer then Bhagwant Mann alone would be held responsible. Majithia said the CM had called a meeting of farmers of the state but had "backstabbed" them by provoking them to do whatever they could.
“Now the CM is trying to crush the voice of farmers on the lines of late prime minister Indira Gandhi who had implemented Emergency in the country." he said.
He said Bhagwant Mann had made false and tall promises with farmers but today he was trying
