Lucknow, Mar 4 (UNI) Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)Chief Mayawati on Tuesday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) governments at the centre and in Uttar Pradesh of giving step-motherly treatment to Muslims.
Mayawati said India is a secular country where all religions are respected but the biased attitude of the central and state governments is worrisome.
Taking to X, she wrote, "India is a secular country that respects all religions. In such a situation, the central and state governments should treat the followers of all religions equally without any bias, but now the step-motherly attitude being adopted with Muslims even in religious matters is not justified."
