Dalits "unsafe" under BJP rule: Ajay Rai

Amethi (UP), Apr 22 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Pradeshik Congress Committee (UPPCC) president Ajay Rai on Tuesday alleged that Dalits are not safe during the tenure of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government.
After the murder of a Dalit youth accused of molestation in Amethi, Rai, who came to express condolences to the victim's family, said that Dalits are constantly facing injustice during the tenure of the Yogi Adityanath government. "Wherever injustice is being done to Dalits, the Congress is always seen standing with them," he said.
He said that a Dalit was burnt alive by pouring petrol on him in Prayagraj. "Dalits are being tortured in Azamgarh and Rampur," he said.
