Necessary to free society from caste discrimination: UP Guv

Mirzapur (UP), Mar 12 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel on Wednesday while stressing on social harmony said that it is necessary to free the society from discrimination and social differences.
The Governor reached Panchsheel Mahavidyalaya in tribal dominated Halia of the district to distribute acceptance letters, citation letters and keys of Swachhata Pratishtha to the beneficiaries of various government schemes.
She highlighted the importance of financial management and banking training to women under the Bank Sakhi Yojana. She warned that one should be cautious in money matters and avoid fraud.
Giving the example of Gujarat, the Governor talked about better use of resources. She warned of strict action against negligence regarding the care and vaccination of newborns. Praising the women of the Green Army, she appreciated their efforts against dowry, drug addiction, child marriage and domestic violence.
Referring to the success of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister Housing Schemes, she said that the poor are now getting concrete houses. She expressed happiness over the increasing success of girl students in universities and rewarded the beneficiaries of various schemes.
Union Minister Anupriya Patel gave information about the Poshan Mission, Janani Suraksha and Indradhanush Abhiyan. Reiterating the goal of TB free India by 2025, she stressed the need for a health and malnutrition free society.
