UP Guv, Yogi extend greetings on Holi

Lucknow, Mar 12 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday have extended their heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Holi, the festival of colours and wished happiness, prosperity and joy in everyone's life.
In her message, the Governor said that the festival of Holi is a symbol of harmony, brotherhood and harmony in the society. "This festival brings happiness and enthusiasm in our lives and further deepens our cultural diversity," she said.
She appealed to the people of the state to celebrate Holi with natural colours, not to waste water and take care of cleanliness.
In his congratulatory message, CM Yogi said that Holi is a major festival of the Sanatan tradition of India. "May this festival, a symbol of social equality, harmony and joy, be auspicious for the entire society and the people of the state," he said.
He said that the long series of festivals and celebrations is an example of the ancient glorious tradition of India. "In the Sanatan tradition, festivals and celebrations are also an inspiring moment to strengthen joy and nationalism. Our Rishi tradition gave religious recognition to the important events of change in society and nation in the form of festivals and gave the basis of inspiration and light to the next generation," he said.
Yogi said that the festival of Holi inspires people to fight against negative tendencies like irreligion, falsehood and injustice. "There is no place for grief and sorrow in our festivals and celebrations, but in these festivals which are a symbol of joy and happiness, along with enthusiasm, prudence is also necessary. We all have to maintain the sanctity and dignity of our festivals and celebrations. From this point of view, no such work should be done which violates the dignity of festivals and celebrations," he said.
While extending infinite wishes to the people of the state on the festival of harmony, goodwill and joy, Holi, he said that the festival of Holi should be celebrated in a cordial and dignified manner.
Deputy CM Keshav Prasad also extended his best wishes to all the people of the country and the state on the auspicious festival of Holi, the festival of colours, enthusiasm and harmony.
In his message, Maurya said that this auspicious festival should keep the love of loved ones in everyone's life, mutual brotherhood should increase and every person should move forward inspired by the spirit of nation building.
He said, "This festival of colours, a symbol of mutual love and brotherhood, should bring the colours of happiness in everyone's life. This festival is a living example of community harmony and harmony," he said.
The Deputy CM said, "I wish that this festival brings joy, enthusiasm and new energy in everyone's life. Holi is a festival of brotherhood, mutual love and goodwill. We all should celebrate Holi in an atmosphere of colours of enthusiasm and excitement in accordance with our glorious culture and traditions. Do not do anything that hurts anyone's sacred sentiments."
