More than 1.36 cr devotees took holy dip in Sangam

Prayagraj, Feb 15 (UNI) A sea of faith was seen surging on the sands of Sangam as more than 1.36 crore devotees had taken a holy bath in Sangam, the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, during Maha Kumbh on Saturday.
Anticipating a huge crowd of devotees on the weekend, the Prayagraj district administration and the fair administration have made tight security arrangements. The entire fair area has been declared as a no vehicle zone on Saturday and Sunday.
Efforts were made throughout the day to control the crowd through barricading and drones. The enthusiasm of the devotees was such that people were reaching the ghat by walking several kilometres.
