Akhilesh demands setting up of military schools in six districts of UP

Lucknow, May 14 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that the Indian Army is the strongest, most powerful and brave and everyone is proud of the bravery of the army. He demanded that military schools should be immediately opened in six districts of UP.

Praising the contribution of Rashtriya Military School Dholpur in the defence security of the country, Akhilesh said that the tradition of bravery has been continuing since the independence of the country.

He said that on the basis of the infinite glorious tradition of true patriots in Uttar Pradesh, which has been there from the time of the freedom fighters till today, our demand is that new military schools should be opened in Lucknow, Saharanpur, Kannauj, Etawah, Varanasi and Sant Kabir Nagar districts, so that a truly decisive answer can be given to those forces challenging the integrity and unity of our country.

The SP leader said that it is hoped that in view of the current sensitive strategic circumstances, the government will seriously consider this and in view of the national interest, will immediately announce the setting up of military schools in UP.

It may be noted that Akhilesh has been a student of Rashtriya Military School Dholpur. He said that where the great tradition of bravery has been going on, we all learn valour and modesty there.

The SP chief said that we all have got the seeds of patriotism, discipline and valour from our motto 'Sheelam Param Bhushanam' and the Rashtriya Military School, Dholpur has had an unprecedented contribution in the defence security of the country. This tradition has continued from the time of independence till today.
