Karni Sena vandalises SP MP Suman's house for his remarks on Rana Sanga

Karni Sena vandalises SP MP Suman's house for his remarks on Rana Sanga

Agra (UP), Mar 26 (UNI) Protesting against the alleged controversial statement by Samajwadi Party (SP) national general secretary and MP Ramji Lal Suman on Rana Sanga in Rajya Sabha, members of Karni Sena vandalised his house in Hari Parvat area of Agra city here in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, police sources said here.
Police said that the members of Karni Sena reached SP MP's residence near Sanjay Place in the afternoon with a bulldozer.
"When the police stopped the bulldozer outside, the youth entered through the back gate and vandalised the house. They broke the windows of vehicles parked near the residence and broke chairs," they said.
Police used force to disperse the protesters. "Several policemen were injured in the incident," they said.
Police said that the Karni Sena chose such a time when the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also in the city.
"The CM was in a programme at Dariyanath temple located at Rajamandi market, one and a half to two km away from Suman's house," they said.
Police said that at around 12:15 in the afternoon, the office-bearers and members of Karni Sena, riding on a bulldozer, left for the house of Rajya Sabha MP Suman.
"When they started moving ahead on the Agra-Delhi highway, the police tried to stop them, but the convoy did not stop due to less number of policemen. After this, the police also tried to stop them by putting up barriers at many places, but did not succeed," they said.
Police said heavy police force was deployed by putting up a barrier near the other gate.
"Barriers were also put up at many other places including the waterworks to stop the Karni Sena,
but its members managed to reach the residence of Ramjilal Suman an hour later at around 1:30
pm. The police stopped the bulldozer outside. After this, some youths forcibly entered the gate and started vandalism," they said.
Police said that the agitated youths broke the windows of seven-eight vehicles parked outside Ramji Lal Suman's HIG flats Sanjay Place and also vandalised the house.
"They also broke the chairs kept there. The police tried to chase the youths away by lathi charge,
but the youths continued sloganeering at the spot. Many policemen have been injured in this incident," they said.
It may be noted that during debate in the Rajya Sabha, SP MP Ramji Lal Suman attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and allegedly said that it has become a catchphrase of these people that Muslims have Babur's DNA.
He said that Muslims of India do not consider Babur as their ideal, they consider Mohammad Saheb and Sufi saints as their ideal.
He had said that people should know that Rana Sanga had called Babur to defeat Ibrahim Lodi.
He said that Muslims are the children of Babur and you are the children of the traitor Rana Sanga. It should be decided in India that they criticise Babur but not Rana Sanga, this is an important question related to the unity of the country.
Later, Ramji Lal Suman said that his intention was not to hurt anyone.
