Over 60Lakh women benefit from Matru Vandana Yojana in UP

Lucknow, Apr 8 (UNI) As part of Mission Shakti, a sustained efforts being made to promote self-reliance, dignity and progress for women, over 60 lakh mothers across Uttar Pradesh have benefited from the PM Matru Vandana Yojana, which provides financial assistance to improve maternal nutrition and overall health, official sources said here on Tuesday.
Sources said that more than two lakh women across the state have also gained from the PM SVANidhi Yojana, which offers loans and skill training to promote self-employment and financial independence.
Sources said that guided by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, Mission Shakti focuses on women's safety, education, and empowerment, with social welfare groups working alongside government departments to widen its impact.
