Six die, several hurt in collision between two cars

Tirunelveli (Tamil Nadu), Apr 27 (UNI) In a tragic incident, six persons including a child were killed

and several others injured in a collision between two cars on the Tirunelveli-Nagercoil four lane at Thalapathisamudram near Nanguneri in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday evening.

Police sources said the accident occurred when the driver of one of the cars lost control due to

over speeding, crashed into the centre median and jumped into the opposite lane and collided

with another car coming in the opposite direction.

Senior police officials rushed to the spot, removed the bodies, rescued the injured and admitted

them to Tirunelveli government medical college hospital.

Further investigations were on.
