TN: Couple riding two-wheeler dies after roadside tree falls on them

Tiruchirapalli (Tamil Nadu), Mar 1 (UNI) In a gruesome tragic incident, a couple riding on a two-wheeler was killed on the spot, after a tree fell on them near Melavaladi village at Lalgudi Taluk in Tiruchirapalli district of Tamil Nadu late on Saturday evening.
Police said Sudarshan (40) and his wife Punitha (36), hailing from Manapakkam in Chennai, came to Lalgudi on a two-wheeler to visit their relatives. On the way to their relatives at Srirangam, the roadside naval tree suddenly fell on them.
The couple was crushed under the tree.
