TN: 25 tourists injured after van carrying them overturns on Kodaikanal hills

Dindigul (Tamil Nadu), May 6 (UNI) Twenty five people were injured, two of them critically when a van they were travelling in to the hill station of Kodaikanal in Dindigul district overturned early on Tuesday.

Police said the occupants of the van, hailing from Madurai were on a summer vacation to Kodaikanal hills, when the accident occurred.

The driver of the van lost control while negotiating a bend on the Batlagundu – Kodaikanal Ghat Road near Dum Dum Rock view point in which the vehicle overturned.

The injured were taken in ambulances to Madurai Rajaji Hospital, of which the condition of two women who sustained head injuries was stated to be critical.

Further investigations were on, police said.
