Ponguleti urges speedy resolution of land issues in Bhu Bharati Pilot Mandals

Hyderabad, May 13 (UNI) Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Monday directed officials to swiftly resolve land-related issues in the four pilot mandals of Maddur, Lingampeta, Venkatapur, and Nelakondapalli, where the Bhu Bharati Act is being implemented on a trial basis.

Holding a video conference with the district Collectors of Mulugu, Kamareddy, Khammam, and Narayanpet, the Minister emphasised the state government’s commitment to addressing land disputes efficiently under the Bhu Bharati framework.

He highlighted that the initiative, introduced by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, aims to resolve land problems at the revenue offices themselves—eliminating the need for legal battles and ensuring no financial burden on farmers.

Reddy instructed officials to thoroughly examine all applications submitted during revenue conferences, stressing that any rejections must be based on deep scrutiny. He also announced that Tahsildars can now register applications online, enhancing transparency and accessibility.

Principal Secretary Naveen Mittal was asked to deploy skilled personnel from other departments to expedite the examination of applications. The Minister set a target to resolve all major land issues by the end of the month in the identified districts.

In addition, he directed that the list of beneficiaries for Indiramma housing schemes be regularly submitted to the in-charge ministers for approval, and that the construction of houses should commence without delay, an official statement said tonight.
