Hyderabad, Mar 13 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted a surprise check at the District Transport Office in Nizamabad on Wednesday.
During the search, officials found an unaccounted amount of Rs 27,000 with Md. Khaleel, an agent at the District Transport Office. The amount was seized from him.
In addition to the unaccounted cash, authorities discovered 14 original Registration Certificates (RCs) of motorcycles and three original driving licenses, which are currently under verification.
The ACB team also observed several irregularities during the inspection, including the presence of unauthorized agents within the office premises. Several applications were found marked with certain codes, which are also being examined.
A report will be submitted to the government recommending necessary action against the erring officials, according to an ACB statement issued on Thursday.
