Hyderabad/Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 20 (UNI) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has criticized the University Grants Commission’s (UGC) new guidelines, comparing them to a scenario where “you must pay the bill but can’t order your food.”
Speaking at the National Convention on Higher Education organized in Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday, Bhatti Vikramarka conveyed greetings on behalf of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the people of Telangana.
Though Revanth Reddy could not attend the convention hosted by the Kerala State government, Vikramarka stated that he had been deputed to express Telangana’s firm stance on granting autonomy to States in shaping their own education policies, an official statement here said.
