WIPO and RGNIIPM launch advanced patent examiner training programme

Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) The World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and the Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Intellectual Property Management (RGNIIPM) have jointly launched an Advanced Certificate Training Programme for Patent Examiners at the Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana.
The programme includes 25 Patent Officers from the CGPDTM office and international participants from Bangladesh, Egypt, Georgia, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Mongolia, Morocco, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Trinidad & Tobago, and Uganda, an official statement said on Monday.
“This training underscores the need for skilled human resources to support an IP system that is efficient, globally aligned, and responsive,” she noted. She added that the course would deepen participants’ understanding of IP laws across jurisdictions, encouraging mutual learning and global capacity building.
