Bengaluru, May 6 (UNI) Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) patriarch HD Deve Gowda on Tuesday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s response to the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, terming the government’s counter-measures as "bold" and unprecedented.
Reacting to the incident that claimed the lives of several tourists, Gowda said, "For the first time, such bold decisions have been taken by any government to give a fitting reply to the enemies of the nation." He was speaking to reporters in Bengaluru.
While condemning the cowardly attack on tourists, the veteran leader expressed full support for the Centre’s swift action and strong retaliation. "The Prime Minister has shown resolve and determination in dealing with terrorism. The country stands united behind such leadership," he said.
