Telangana: SCCL CMD awarded IIIE’s Performance Excellence Award in Shillong

Hyderabad, May 12 (UNI) The Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE) awarded the Performance Excellence Award to N. Balram, chairman and managing director of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) in recognition of his outstanding leadership in steering the State-owned coal mining giant on the path of progress and multifaceted expansion plans.

The award was presented during the 25th National Level Chief Executive Officers' Meeting held on Sunday evening in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya.
The Administrative Manager and member of the IIIE National Council, Mr. Bhaskar, received the award on behalf of Balram.
The award, presented in Shillong, was handed over to the company's CMD by the Executive Director of Coal Movement, Mr. S. D. M. Subhani, and Administrative Manager Mr. Bhaskar at Singareni Bhavan here on Monday.
As CMD of Singareni, Balaram has initiated innovative projects for the multifaceted expansion of Singareni in the financial year 2024-25.
The organizers announced the award in recognition of several factors, including the provision of a free accident insurance facility worth crores for the welfare of workers, the unprecedented initiative to launch the Naini project in Odisha for the first time in Singareni’s history, and efforts to advance Singareni in the traditional fuel resources sector.
Similarly, Singareni, which is achieving good turnover and profits within the company division, was also honored with the Performance Excellence Award in the companies category.
On the occasion, Balaram while expressing his happiness at receiving the Performance Excellence Award, stated that this award is a recognition of the hard work of every employee.
The company will gain even more recognition if everyone strives to increase productivity or the organization's progress, he added.
