TN: Devotee waiting in queue in Tiruchendur temple dies

Thoothukudi (Tamil Nadu) Mar 16 (UNI) In a tragic incident, a 50-year-old devotee died while waiting in the queue for darshan at the renowned Lord Subramania Swamy Temple at Tiruchendur in Thoothukudi district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
The deceased, identified as Om Kumar and hailing from Karaikudi in the Sivaganga district, was waiting in the Rs 100 paid darshan ticket queue for hours together, when he allegedly complained of breathlessness and fell unconscious due to overcrowding.
He was rushed to the government hospital in an ambulance, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
