Telangana BC Commission concludes public hearing on inclusion of 26 omitted castes

Hyderabad, June 11 (UNI) The Telangana Backward Classes Commission on Wednesday concluded its three-day public hearing on the inclusion of 26 castes that were excluded from the state's BC list following the formation of Telangana.
The final day of the hearing was held from 1100 hours to 1700 hours at the Commission’s office. The session was presided over by BC Commission Chairman G. Niranjan, along with members Rapolu Jayaprakash, Ms Bala Lakshmi Rangu, Deputy Director U Srinivasa Rao, Special Officer G Satish Kumar, and Research Officer G Lakshminarayana.
On the concluding day, the Commission reviewed 64 representations, bringing the total number of representations examined during the three-day hearing to 133. Community leaders from Pondara, Settibalija, Koppulavelama, Polnativelama, and Kalinga castes personally appeared before the Commission, urging for their inclusion in the Telangana BC list.
