World Environment Day observed in Tirumala

Tirumala, June 5 (UNI) In view of World Environment Day, TTD organised a plantation programme in Tirumala near Gogarbham Circle here on Thursday.

TTD Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary who graced the occasion planted Ficus bengalensis (Banyan-Marri) in the premises of the Octopus Building.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, on the occasion of World Environment Day, TTD is planting two thousand saplings in Tirumala.

We have taken steps to increase greenery in Tirumala by 80 percent and will soon organise a programme to plant two lakh saplings along with the Forest department.

Deputy CF of TTD Srinivas, Deputy EO Health Somannarayana, FRO Doraswamy, Health officer Madhusudhan, and officers have also planted samplings on the occasion.
