Amaravati, Mar 12 (UNI) Tuesday’s trough in easterlies that previously extended from a cyclonic circulation over the West Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Maldives area now runs up to the Southwest Bay of Bengal off the Tamil Nadu coast at 0.9 km above mean sea level, the Meteorological Centre reported on Wednesday.
According to the daily weather report, maximum temperatures are expected to gradually rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema over the next five days.
Dry weather is likely to prevail across these regions for the next seven days.
During the past 24 hours, rainfall occurred at isolated places in Rayalaseema, while dry weather persisted in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam.
The highest maximum temperature of 37.6 degrees Celsius was recorded at Nandyal in Rayalaseema on Tuesday, the report added.
