Kerala: Elderly farmer dies in wild boar attack in Kannur

Kannur, Mar 2 (UNI) A 70-year-old farmer was killed after being attacked by a wild boar on his farmland at Chendayad near Panoor, on Sunday.
According to police, the deceased, identified as Sreedharan (70) of Vallyayi in Patyam panchayat of the district, was working in his farmland at around 9 am, when a wild boar attacked him, in which he sustained injuries all over his body.
After hearing his screams, locals rushed to the spot, chased away the wild boar and shifted injured farmer to a nearby private hospital at Thalassery, but he succumbed to injuries, sources added.
