SRH knocked out after rain-abandoned match

SRH knocked out after rain-abandoned match

Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) The IPL 2025 clash between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium was abandoned due to persistent rain, resulting in a no-result that officially ended SRH’s hopes of reaching the playoffs. This marked the second time this season that SRH\\\\s fixture has been washed out.
The washout meant Hyderabad walked away with just one point and were eliminated from the race for the top four. Delhi, too, picked up a solitary point and joined Punjab Kings in the "odd-points" category on the table, an outcome few would have predicted midway through their innings.
Earlier, Delhi recovered from a disastrous start to post a modest 133 for 7 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first. The innings was resurrected by a spirited fightback from Tristan Stubbs and Ashutosh Sharma after the top order was blown away by a sensational opening burst from SRH skipper Pat Cummins.
