Iran, Uzbekistan advance to AFC U20 Asian Cup quarterfinal

Shenzhen, Feb. 17 (UNI) Iran cruised past 10-man Yemen 6-0, while Uzbekistan defeated Indonesia 3-1 in Group C of the AFC U20 Asian Cup on Sunday.
With back-to-back wins, both Iran and Uzbekistan have secured spots in the quarterfinals, with Iran leading the group on goal difference.
In Group B, Amir Faisal's goal gave Iraq a 1-0 victory over Saudi Arabia, while Ibrahim Sabra scored twice to lead Jordan to a 2-1 win over DPR Korea.
Iraq now tops the group with four points, one ahead of Saudi Arabia and Jordan, while DPRK sits at the bottom with one point. All four teams remain in contention with one round left to play.
Meanwhile, Japan and South Korea will play their second Group D matches on Monday against Syria and Thailand, respectively.
