Maha: DyCM instructs to expedite land acquisition, rehabilitation works of Kalu Dam project

Mumbai, Apr 15 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Tuesday that Kalu Dam, which is important to solve the water problem in Thane, Kalyan-Dombivli, Ulhasnagar, Ambernath, Badlapur, Bhiwandi, Bhiwandi Rural areas, should be completed within stipulated time limit.
Speaking at a meeting held at Mantralaya in this regard, Shinde instructed to concerned administrative agencies to expedite the land acquisition and rehabilitation works in coordination.
He said the rehabilitation plan of the villages that will be affected by this project should be prepared immediately and the land acquisition should be expedited.
Thane District Collector should coordinate with various agencies for administrative matters for land acquisition, he added.
